• a) PHARMACEUTICS: Pharmaceutics is one of the disciplines in the pharmacy which deals with formulations of a pure drug substance into dosage forms. The subject area of pharmaceutics include Pharmaceutical technology, Physical Pharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics & Biopharmaceutics, Industrial pharmacy and Drug Delivery Systems for Professional doctoral degree, graduate and undergraduate courses.

  • b) PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY: Pharmaceutical Chemistry is the study of drugs and it involves drug development.This is a multidisciplinary field of study that utilizes synthetic organic chemistry in conjunction with development in Biochemistry, molecular biology,computational chemistry and pharmacology to advance drug discovery.

  • c) PHARMACOGNOSY: Pharmacognosy is a branch of pharmaceutical sciences which deals with study of drugs obtained from natural sources. The goal of the branch is to impart the knowledge to the students in the field of pharmacognosy and phytochemistry and biotechnology so as to meet the industrial,research and academic standards.

  • d) PHARMACOLOGY: This in-person laboratory course is the first half of the laboratory component generally required for a fundamental first year anatomy and physiology course. Ts course provides an introduction to structure and function to the human body. It begins with an orientation to the body and then covers the functions of a generalized cell, the atoms, organs, organ system as well as tegumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems.
